A ball bearing is type of bearing that carries a load by placing round objects between two elements causing the round object to roll with minimal friction caused. Ball bearings can be made from a variety of materials such as stainless steel, brass and can also be made using ceramic and glass. The type of material used in ball bearings greater depends upon the purpose of the application. For instance if application is in an environment that reaches high temperatures you will need the ball bearings to be made of a material that can withstand high heat and also function efficiently over a period of time.
